This is a fansite for Mary Everest Boole!
Mary Everest Boole is an English writer, educator, and "mathematically-trained psychologist" who lived from 1832 to 1916. She wrote on many subjects, guided by a deep lifelong curiosity about the search for truth and the process of thinking itself. Her suggestions for educational reform in particular have been recognized as strikingly ahead of their time.
I am an American writer, educator, and performer who lives in Minneapolis. I make music under the name Catherine Charles. My work has centered on queer experiences of gender and sexuality, and my other interests include architecture, video games, and the role of pleasure and entertainment in dire times. I am white, gender nonconforming, gay, middle class, in the millennial age group, and an amateur historian.
I maintain this site independently, and all views expressed here are my own.
I feel a sense of intellectual kinship with Mary Everest Boole.
